Dr. Ratna Vishwakarma is the founder and medical superintendent of S. M. Vishwakarma Memorial Eye Hospital, Nagpur, established in 1991, where she has dedicated her career to providing top-quality eye care. She has also been actively involved in organizing numerous free surgical camps and performing over 6,000 cataract surgeries at no charge.
- Dr. Ratna Vishwakarma, with over 36 years of experience in ophthalmology, is a highly esteemed medical professional specializing in cataract and glaucoma treatment.
- She holds an MBBS, MS, and DO in Ophthalmology, all from GMC Nagpur, and has further enhanced her expertise with a Phacoemulsification Fellowship from Raghudeep Eye Clinic, Ahmedabad.
- She has also been actively involved in organizing numerous free surgical camps and performing over 6,000 cataract surgeries at no charge. She has been invited as a speaker and panelist at various district, state, and national conferences.
- As an experienced administrator, she has worked on NABH and QCI accreditation for the hospital. She also served as the Secretary of the Vidarbha Ophthalmic Society (VOS) and is a member of several prestigious ophthalmic associations, including the Ophthalmic Society of Nagpur (OSN), Vidarbha Ophthalmic Society (VOS), All India Ophthalmic Society (AIOS), and the Maharashtra Ophthalmic Society (MOS).
