Dr. Rajendra Vishwakarma is the founder and director of S.M. Vishwakarma Memorial Eye Hospital in Nagpur, which he established in 1991. Dr. Rajendra Vishwakarma, with 36 years of experience in ophthalmology, is a distinguished medical professional specializing in cataract, retina, glaucoma, oculoplastic, and pediatric cataract surgeries.

- M.S. Ophthalmology from GMC Nagpur and completed a fellowship in Retina from the Retina Foundation, Ahmedabad, under the mentorship of Dr. P. N. Nagpal.
- Dr. Vishwakarma served as the Treasurer, Secretary, and eventually President of the Vidarbha Ophthalmic Society (VOS), and has played a key role in organizing district and regional-level conferences. He has been invited as a speaker and panelist at various district, state, and national conferences. He is an active member of several prestigious ophthalmic associations, including the Ophthalmic Society of Nagpur (OSN), Vidarbha Ophthalmic Society (VOS), All India Ophthalmic Society (AIOS), and the Maharashtra Ophthalmic Society.
- Throughout his career, he has organized numerous free surgical camps, performing over 6,000 cataract surgeries at no cost to the patients. In addition to his surgical expertise, he has conducted free ophthalmology classes for MBBS students for several years.
